Bangkok Long Awaited Solid 24K Gold AA+
Long Awaited Solid 24K Gold AA+
Dear All,With much pleasure, we are now introducing the long awaited batch of 24K Gold, from famed brooder 8814, starting tomorrow 13th January 3pm onwards.
The brooder was harvested on 21st May, under the earlier thread May 2012 Peak Harvest Season. Or, simply click on the below link to access the abovementioned page.
Fishes are now 7 inches long, all with yellow rimmed body and fine pearlies developed. Many of them even have gold lines starting to develop on their foreheads. So, keep them in white tanks if you can. But if you cant, at least turn on the T5 overhead white lights for 7-8 hours daily. But no matter what tank environment you keep them in, never overfeed them till their stomach area is constantly bloated. In our farms, our xbacks are fed twice daily, each receiving about 5-6 live mealworms during feeding time.
For this first launch under 8814, we will offer them at a special introductory price of S$800 each, giving discounts for sales 3 or more fishes. When most DFI 24K Gold xbacks are retailing around S$650-S$750 each, this premium batch is considered to be very well priced, merely S$50 above the other 24K Gold batches.
This special batch is only available at the DFI farm, and appointments must be made via PM or email, giving us at least 24 hours advance notice. Terms is Cash Carry, and no Nets, Credit cards nor Personal cheques (sorry for the trouble) will be accepted. Sales is only good while stocks last.
Thanking you all in advance for the support of this premium batch.

Extremely golden cheeks, throat and 3 back fins. Just look at that golden tail?
Fully developed little pearls and high shine DEEP yellow scales throughout its body. See its brooding pouch with two black lines?
High bodies, coupled with pearlies, and golden dots or lines on heads.
Just look at the shine on this 24K Gold ... Bullet heads and smooth pectorals, too.
Very curious little fella, with high shine, great body shape and gold lines on head.

I admire how DFI post pictures that portray the whole fish, inclusive of the jaw.
Unlike other farms who crop their images in order to hide the PLJ of their brooders.
Thumbs up for your honesty.
>This is really one solid gold brooder. Even the brush on the finnage are as gold as his scales
>Hi Peachy,
Yes, indeed, you are very observant. Most of our adult fishes do not have PLJ, and that is why, we dare to show to everyone the whole adult fish, with nothing to hide.
Though PLJ could be due to genetic or environmental (like underfed or tank space is too narrow/tight), in most cases, it is the genetics factor. We had learnt the fact of PLJ as when we chose our brooders from Malaysian farms some 17 years ago, all the selected fishes must have perfect scissors bite, with not the slightest PLJ. And years later, when our brooders start to produce fries, we soon learn that our initial efforts had paid off.
Another point worthy of note is, PLJ due to genetics is very HARD to correct whereas PLJ due to environmental, is much EASIER to correct.
Just sharing some of my observations. Thanks for the compliments indeed!

>Hi Ethan
Appreciate your kind words, really. Hopefully, the fries of the 8814 do not disappoint and soon, 8814 will be our renowned brooder like 1EE0 and 1555. If that day does come, then 8814 fries will be priced even higher than its current price ....
So why not grab one now? Ever consider doing a Group Purchase? If yes, we could give AFT members very special rates, give it a thought for this premium batch.
Many thanks again.

>I bought one piece of the 24k AA+ from the 8/1 batch from C328 .How is the brooder of that batch compare to this ,can share ? tks
>Hi Fishmatters
Much appreciated for the kind support of the newest 24K Gold batch at C328.
Well, that brooder is also a very high quality one, with very deep golden cheeks and throat. From afar, it looked very golden, with almost no base colour ... However, due to our very frequent harvests (during the peak seasons, almost 3-4 days in a week, each day harvesting 3-4 brooders), we cannot possibly take pictures and post all the harvests ....If we do so, that would mean we have to employ a professional photographer, always on a stand by, ha ha. In addition, we have to spend another one and a half hours to process the pictures and post them, with an appropriate write up about the harvests. It is thus both very time consuming and tiring. Hence, you rarely see other farms willing to do these extra work.
Hope to have your kind understanding. Cheers for your good buy!
